Prerequisites: DB-3

Mission Objectives:

  1. Demonstrate proficiency in defensive BFM from short and medium range setups.
  2. Demonstrate proficiency in CRM tasks.
  3. Practice mission tasks listed below.

Specific Mission Tasks:

1. Takeoff
2. Departure
3. Tactical formation
4. Armament switchology/FENCE check
5. G-awareness turns
6. Defensive BFM - Perch setups
      a. 6,000-foot
      b. 3,000-foot
7. Landing

Special Instructions:

  1. Once the student has demonstrated proficiency against the limited bandit, G and (or) power setting may be increased.
  2. If graded NE-SNP, DB-4 will not be re-flown solo.
