Prerequisites: HB-1

Mission Objectives:

  1. Practice high aspect BFM.
  2. Practice mission tasks listed below.

Specific Mission Tasks:

1. Takeoff
2. Departure
3. Tactical formation
4. Armament switchology/FENCE check
5. G-awareness turns
6. High aspect BFM
7. Landing

Special Instructions:

  1. The student will be exposed to both single-circle and two-circle fights by HB-2. The bandit will select appropriate times during the engagements to establish either a one- or two-circle fight.
  2. Once the student has demonstrated proficiency against the limited bandit, G and (or) power setting may be increased.
  3. See paragraph 5-2 for instrument approach requirements. All instrument approaches must be accomplished by the end of HB-3 if HB-4/5 is to be accomplished solo.
